About Us

Portland Home Improvements was founded by Nick R. Priest.  Nick grew up in the construction industry working for his father.  Being a fourth generation carpenter and contractor, he has been around construction his whole life.

After working for his father for many summers and full time after studying economics at the University of Southern California Nick decided to open a construction company of his own in 2004 named Priest Construction Corporation. Over the years Nick has gained valuable experience in building over 250 custom and production homes along with several high-end remodels. His specialties range from land development to decks and patios.

In 2008 Nick decided to expand his business to Oregon while also providing a nurturing environment to raise his family in. Nick moved his family Tracy, Matthew and Joshua to Portland, Oregon
